She is survived by: her husband Richard Mitchell; her children, Todd Sutton (Cindy) of Wilmington, Ohio and Lacey Mitchell of Wilmington, Ohio; her brother Gary Brannon of Wilmington, Ohio; her granddaughters, Gracie Sutton and Chloe Sutton; and her nephew Nick Brannon.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a tree be planted in Phyllis' memory.
