He was predeceased by: his parents, Govindrao Pawar and Sonubai Pawar. He is survived by: his children, Jay C. Pawar, David K. Pawar (Peggy), Sheela L. Pawar (Gary Thomas) and Chris K. Pawar; his grandchildren, Deanna, David, Kaleigh, Matthew, Patrick, Christian, Maggie and Danny; and his great grandchildren, Hugo, Margot and Sebastian.
