He was predeceased by: his parents, Arville Tackett and Caroline Tackett (Moore); and his son Jerry DeWayne Tackett. He is survived by: his wife Fayetta (Rowe); his children, Arville Tackett (Gail) of Carleton, MI, Trina McLaughlin (Dean) of Dayton, TN, Loretta Sparks (Manuel) of Tiro, OH and Melissa Rice (Ray) of Rockwood, TN; his daughter-in-law Stacey Tackett of Willard, OH; and his siblings, Johnny Tackett (Anna) of Willard, Hillard Tackett (DoyleAnn), Joe Tackett (Ella) of Drift, KY and Green Hall of McDowell, KY.. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Freewill Baptist Church (670 Keefer St, Willard, OH 44890). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
