He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman Dickens and Zela Dickens (Webb). He is survived by: his children, Sherrie Dickens of Wisconsin, Darlene Tucker (John), Terry Dickens (Rhonda), Ronnie Dickens of Ohio and Richard "Pete" Dickens (Karen); and his siblings, Hattie Dickens, Dorothy Dickens Hoskins, Huh Cooper, Pauline Cooper Johnson, Harold Cooper, Carson Cooper, Faye Cooper Wood, Robert Cooper, Michael Cooper, Joyce Cooper Carrell and Lowell Cooper. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
