With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merl Newland of West Carrollton, Ohio, born in Hindman, Kentucky, who passed away on April 17, 2021 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Merl Newland to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dishman and Minnie Newland (Cornet); his wife Rhoda Newland; his children, Zella Newland and Randy Newland; and his siblings, Charles, Sam Newland and Octavia DeFazio.
He is survived by: his pet Rambo; his children, Sheila McGiffin (Robert), David Newland (Tammy) and Matthew Newland; his sister Safronia Fugate; his granddaughter Chloe Kinton (Donald); his stepgrandson Chris McGiffin (Katey); his great grandchild Norah Kinton; his stepgranddaughters, Avery and Scarlett McGiffin; and his niece Wanda Hilton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
