He was predeceased by: his parents, Elgin Adkins and Dora Adkins Good (Morgan); his niece Jaimie Laird; and his great grandchild Lakota Belle Mercer. He is survived by: his children, Wavelene Erhard (Robert, Jr.), John E. Adkins, Jr. (Monica) and David S. Blacker (Jennifer); his sister Barbara Jean Laird; his grandchildren, Robert D. Erhard (Hannah), Brittany Erhard (Natan), Amy Holcomb (Kyle), Harley Adkins (Joe), Jessica Wolfel (Logan), Jasmine Adkins, Nathan Blacker, Logan and Gage Emerson; his great grandchildren, Aamiyah R. Erhard, Jakub J. Brejna, Harper N. Erhard, Kaja R. Brejna, Phoenix D. Mercer, Hazel, Autumn and Jack Wolfel; his nephew Brian Laird (Hannah); and his close friends, Bill Ayles and Cindy Fortney. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and many friends.
