He was predeceased by: his father Ira T. Beatty; his son Scott Beatty; and his siblings, Bernice, Marjorie, Marcella, Arlene, John, Gene, Dwight, Ronald, Donald, Edgar and Bernard.

He is survived by: his children, Mark M. Beatty of Wellston and Alicia A. Beatty of Wellston; and his granddaughter Gwendolyn V. Beatty Howison (Tom) of Jackson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
