He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Charles Chafin and Nell Mitchell Chafin; and his siblings, Phillip Mitchell and Patricia Chafin. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Chafin of Wellston and David Chafin of Wellston; his granddaughter Reaghann Folden of Jackson; his sister Cam; his brother-in-law Wendell Lusk of Wellston; his brother John; his sister-in-law Nancy Chafin of Cincinnati; and his close friend Chelsie Azbell of Wellston. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions in Rodney's name be given to Sons of The American Legion, 1001 South Pennsylvania Avenue, Wellston, Ohio 45692.
