He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Frank Buffington and Elma Jewell Shope Buffington; his wife Jeanne Tipton Buffington; his sons, Randy Buffington and Rick Buffington; and his siblings, Don, Bernice, Jr. and Clayton.
He is survived by: his daughter Renee; his children-in-law, Chris Anderson of Wellston, Sherry Buffington of Wellston and Rosie Buffington of Wellston; and his grandchildren, Kris Buffington of Wellston, Phillip Buffington of Athens, Tiffany Vickers of Jackson, Tasha Vickers of Wellston and Shanna Smith of Missouri. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
