He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Isaac Thompson and Helen Hale Thompson; and his sister Robin Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Ruth A. Vollmer Thompson; his sons, Russell Paul Thompson of Kentucky, Paul Benton Thompson of Kentucky, Phillip Ray Thompson (Michelle) of Wellston and Isaac John Thompson (Susan) of Wellston; his grandchildren, Braley, Madilyn, Macy, Bryce, Emma, Owen and Lila; and his siblings, Sue Moore (John), Jack Thompson (Carol), Terry Thompson (Debra) and Larry Thompson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
