He was predeceased by: his parents, Giles Cahoon and Lottie Cahoon (Hill); and his siblings, Luther, Hobard, Robert, John, Della Frances and Jean Cahoon.
He is survived by: his wife Emogene Cahoon (Farley); his children, Melvin Cahoon (Patty), Carol Abrahamson (Rick) and Linda Cahoon (Cathy Carlisle); and his grandchildren, Amber Scholl, Mike Vickers, Riley Abrahamson, Joel Cahoon, Carroll Cahoon II, Caitlin Cahoon and Tammy VanDyke. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
