He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hertzfeld and Alice Hertzfeld (Kuebbeler); his daughter Mary Alice Hertzfeld; and his siblings, Robert Hertzfeld and Diane Heuerman.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Hertzfeld (Klein); his children, Shawna Gebhart (Scott), Eric Hertzfeld (Janis), Kevin Hertzfeld (Tracy) and Chad Hertzfeld (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Lindsay Gebhart, Allison Lindke (Joshua), Jared Gebhart, Grace Hertzfeld, Anna Hertzfeld, Drew Hertzfeld, Brynn Hertzfeld, Joshua Hertzfeld and Alex Hertzfeld; and his siblings, Philip Hertzfeld (Jackie), Barbara Heising (Gene), Clarence II Hertzfeld (Kathie) and William Hertzfeld (Leslie).
