He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard K. Dembowski and Dorothy L. Dembowski (Carnes); and his brothers, Bernard and Wayne Dembowski. He is survived by: his wife Brenda (Frederick); his children, Angela Meiring (Glen), Monica Chapman (Scott) and Brian Gahn (Laura); his grandchildren, Allison Cousino (Ben), Adam Meiring, Dylan Gahn and Julia Gahn; his great grandchildren, Jack, Anna and Charles Cousino; and his siblings, Diana Gosai (Bhagwanji) and Darryl Dembowski (Gloria).

The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
