He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn M. Gilts and Hilda Gilts (Reaume); his sisters, Merle Gilts and Betty Loveday; his brother-in-law Cliff Loveday; and his grandson Jaryd W. Gilts.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce A. Kennedy; his sons, Richard A. Gilts (Mary Beth), Timothy D. Gilts (Dianna) and Christopher T. Gilts (Jamie); his grandchildren, Tara D. Gilts, Erika "Rikki" Gilts, Jacob D. Gilts and Joshua N. Gilts; and his great grandchild Jack W. Gilts-Survojak.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Dick's name to the Jaryd W. Gilts Scholarship Fund at the Toledo Foundation or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
