He is survived by: his wife Linda (Miner); his children, Candy Carter, Becky Cousino, Brenda Hartranft, James Carter, Jr., William Reetz, Millie Fouty and Lori Reetz; and his brothers, Don, Butch, Rick, Mike and Phil Carter. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren.
