He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Florence; and his siblings, Larry Smalley, Ronald "Tom" Smalley and Leota Baker.
He is survived by: his spouse Jane A. Sprengelmeyer; his sons, David C. Smalley (Lori) and Douglass B. Smalley (Angi); his grandchildren, Jacob, Amanda, Noah, Elizabeth, Victoria and Jackson; his siblings, John "Kenny" Smalley (Sue), Shirley Collier, Donald Smalley (Jeri), Roger Smalley and Susan Sulek; and his siblings-in-law, Hank Baker and Charlene Smalley.
