She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles William II and Edith Kathleen Elder; her husband James Burwell Allen; and her siblings, Donita Chambers (Clare), Elizabeth Atkinson (John), Sue Buck (Harry Jr.), Charles "Bill" Elder III (Gerry), Ray Elder (Marge) and Benjamin Elder.

She is survived by: her children, Richard Wilcoxen (Lana) and Melinda Hergert (Lewis); and her sister-in-law Ruth Elder. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
