He was predeceased by: his parents, William S. Mooney and Ida Mooney; and his siblings, James, Kenneth, Robert, Charles Mooney, Alene Luzadder, Helen Husk and Mary Ann Filer.

He is survived by: his wife Jane Mooney of Vermilion; his children, Tracey Sturgeon (Phillip) of Vermilion, Teresa Michaels (Robert) of Sheffield Lake, Thomas Mooney (Debra) of Collins and Timothy Mooney (Dawn) of Clayton, Ohio; his grandchildren, Jeffrey "JJ" Mooney, William Mooney, Anthony Michaels (Katy Dodt), Brandy Michaels (Thomas Verrill), Justin Dewey (Stephanie), Jerrod Dewey (Stephanie), Joshua Dewey (Julianne), Jessica Bennett (Thomas), Cassandra Gilham (Jonathan) and Brittney Mooney (Casey); and his brother John Mooney of Waynesburg, PA.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family who want to come are welcome to attend, but due to Covid-19, we are asking that people be careful to maintain social distancing, wear masks, and refrain from embracing.
