He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Summers and Dorothy Summers; his siblings, Larry L. Summers and Tammy Beetler; and his nephew Chad Morrow.

He is survived by: his wife Teresa Summers of Vermilion; his children, Jassen Summers of Columbus, Brian Summers (Jessica) of Vermilion, Ashley Reed (Jeremy) of Clyde, Emily Rosen of Sandusky and Elishia Styczynski (Michael) of Fort Leonard Wood, MO; his grandchildren, Christapher, Issayiah, Kayla, Aubriana and Hunter; his sister Margie A. Morrow of Wakeman; and his sister-in-law Margaret Summers of Vermilion.
