With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Georgene Waltz (Van Wert, Ohio), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on June 2, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Mattson and Mae Mattson (Malon); her husband Cloyd P. Waltz; her son Carey; and her brothers, Leroy Mattson (Dorothy), Robert Mattson (Marian) and Kenneth Mattson (Hazel).

She is survived by: her children, Betsy Mott of Ossian, IN, Timothy Waltz (Lori) of Van Wert and Jody Lichtenberger (Bradley) of Van Wert; her grandchildren, Abraham Wallis (Kari), Amber Waltz, Darby Schwieterman (Eric), Benjamin Waltz (Rob Bame), Hayley Waltz, Emily Lichtenberger and Mikhaila Sailor (Brok); her great grandchildren, Luke, Owen, Perry, Isaiah, Ashley, Beau, Paislee, Everlie and Bennett; and also Deborah Waltz of Van Wert. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews.
