He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Kovacs; his daughter Jean Kovacs; his parents, John Kovacs and Helen Kovacs (Clever); and his brother Lloyd Kovacs.
He is survived by: his children, Juli Kovacs, John (Suzie Hemphill) and Joyce Kovacs (Trey Bohannon); his grandchildren, Alexander and Isabella Kovacs; and his sister Barbara Denious.
