She was predeceased by: her parents, Christopher Swingle and Pauline Swingle; her husband Lewis Schaefer; her son-in-law Roy Ryel; and her siblings, Francis, Donald, John, Paul Swingle and Margaret Cuyler.
She is survived by: her brother Charles Swingle. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
