He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Lad, Lucille Vasel, William and Marie Walter; and his brothers, Stephen and Daniel.

He is survived by: his parents, Joseph Vasel and Janice Vasel; and his siblings, Lisa Kolecki, Joseph Vasel Jr. (Jenny), Allison Augaitis (Marty) and Lauren West (Jonathon).
