He was predeceased by: his mother Jewell Phillips Gunsalus. He is survived by: his father Dr. Fernando J. Carino (Madeline Lepidi-Carino); his stepfather Donald Gunsalus; his siblings, Phil Carino (Betsy Shaver), Brian Carino (Brenda), Carla, Claudette and Chris Carino; and also, Donald Gunsalus, Jr., Julie Ann Cairns, Beth Altenburger and David Gunsalus. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
