He was predeceased by: his wife Julia Rose; and his brother Joseph Emil Duris. He is survived by: his children, Thomas, Robert, Carolyn and Lisa; his grandchildren, Nathan Duris (Amanda), Tom Duris (Rachel) and Stephanie Wetmore (Joey); his great grandchildren, Jordan, Weslie and Micah; his brother Donald Duris (Janice); and his close friend Johnny Zatko. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor are suggested to the Luther Home of Mercy in Williston, Ohio, which was very dear to his heart.
