He is survived by: his wife Brenda Steele; his children, Leemond D. Steele, Gary M Steele and Cheryl Bankston (James); his grandson Eddie Rowland III; and his children, Nathaniel Bryson, Selina and Theresa Early. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
