He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver John Frank Kohn and Johnnella L. Kohn (Haggart); his siblings, Walter Kohn and Laura Tucker; and his grandson Kurt Kohn.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth A Kohn (Dobson); his children, James Kohn (Becky), Kenneth, Mark and Kimberly Lechman (Jamie); and his siblings, Russell Kohn, Alice Belfy, Sandra Wurst and Shonna Doran. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
