He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Kern and Noreen Kern (Lucius); his wife Patricia A. Miletti; his siblings, Alvin, Luke, Francis Kern, Rita Kern and Mary Catherine Fox; and his grandson Danny Garza.
He is survived by: his children, David Kern (Kimberly) of Tiffin and Michele Magers (Eric) of McCutchenville; his grandchildren, Jessica Garza, Hailey Magers and Cameron Magers; and his great grandchildren, Eliot, Roman, Ashton and Luna.
