He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Stefanov and Anna Stefanov; and his brothers, Jerry, Ted and William.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his son Al Stefanov (Bev); his grandchildren, Aaron (Kelli), Lexi (Troy) and Lizzy Stefanov; his great grandchildren, Jay and Ty Stefanov; his sister MaryAnn Fox; his sisters-in-law, Lynda Ellis and Kathy Stefanov; his nephews, Brian Fox, Matt and Tyler Ellis; and his great-nephew Cameron Ellis. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Akron Childrens Hospital.
