He is survived by: his mother Mary Ann Szabo (Marvin); his wife Geraldine "Jeri" Gombash; his grandchild Terry; his children, Brian Szabo (Meghan), Eric Szabo (Julie) and Kelly Armstrong (Ben); his grandchildren, Matthew, Katelyn, Nolan, Nathan, Izzi, Piper, Lexi, Jensen and Edie; and his siblings, Michael Szabo (Lois), Alan Szabo (Sue), Ray Szabo (Julie), Barb VanEtten, Kathy Knapp (Mark), Jeanette Yevtich (Geoff) and Lori Siekierda (Joe). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
