He was predeceased by: his father Clarence Taft. He is survived by: his wife Carol L. Showman; his children, Connie Lillich (James), Richard Showman Jr. (Beth), Pamela Durfey (Timothy) and Mandy Stumbo (Michael); and his siblings, Clarence Taft Jr., Carlton Taft, Charles Taft (Cathy), Phyllis Ray (Ed) and Donald Wise. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
