He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vera A. Laver and Homer H. Laver; his wife Carla; his children, Julie Sanford (Ken), John C. Laver (Wendy) and Jason Laver (Lindsay Tronzo); his grandchildren, John R., Zachary, Michael Laver, Tyler, Jacob Eisel, Kendra, Kaden and Konner Sanford; his sister Audie Jaqua; and his niece Nicolle Allen.

Memorial contributions may be made to the John W. Laver and Carla Haynes Laver Scholarship Fund for Evergreen H.S. or the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church.
