He was predeceased by: his son Brian; and his siblings-in-law, Nise Root, Mike Ray and Mark Martin. He is survived by: his son Matthew Root (Sarah) of Wooster; his granddaughter Rylan Root; and his siblings, Rod Root of Jacksonville, FL, Kevin Root (Michelle) of Wooster, Joyce Ray of Wooster and Kathleen Slutz (Michael) of Bolivar. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
