He was predeceased by: his parents, Arch Hewit and Emma Hewit (Koppes); and his siblings, Herle, Merle, Kenneth, Russel, Harold Hewit, Neva Kreider and Mary Veverka.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly; his children, Brian Hewit of Seville and Gloria Hewit (Matt Rohrbaugh) of North Canton; his grandchildren, Tiffany Boothe of Wadsworth and Cody Boothe (Brittany) of Barberton; his great grandchildren, Logan, Hunter and Autumn; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Hoskinson, Margaret Cavallaro (Danny) and Tom Kissinger (Ingrid).
