It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnny McCoy of Sandusky, Ohio, born in Meridian, Mississippi, who passed away on May 22, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin McCoy and Helen McCoy (Grant). He is survived by: his daughter Melanie Smoot (Paul); his granddaughters, Alexis Young (Caleb, Sr.) and Brandi Smoot; his great grandchildren, Carter, Cannon and Caleb Young, Jr.; and his sister Marlene Pettis (Kenny). He is also survived by Dad to his only daughter, Papa to his granddaughters, and Papa J to his great-grandsons.
