She was predeceased by: her parents, Aloys Huwer and Olive Huwer (Hemmelgarn); her former spouse Ulrich Luttmer; her husband Norbert Gels (Doc); and her sister Alma Sweeterman.
She is survived by: her children, Eric, Shirley Luttmer of Wilmington, N. C., Jane, Joe Boeckman of Columbus, Mary and Bruce James of Celina; her grandchildren, Justin (Brooke Luttmer), Gretchen Luttmer, Karissa (Chris Bowman), Erin (Billy Theado), Elizabeth Boeckman, Gabe (Nikki James) and Leana James; her great grandchildren, Adelia Luttmer, Hayden, Liam Bowman, Rayna and Carly James; and her siblings, Irene Makely, Willard (Rita Huwer), Joan Shivers and Harold (Thelma Huwer).
