He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Schafer and Rose Schafer; and his siblings, Edward and Nancy. He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his pets, BJ and Smokey; his sons, Chris Schafer (Michelle), Mike Schafer and Justin Schafer; his siblings, Charles "Pete" Schafer, Renee Schafer, Sandy Mills (Frank), Rosemarie Hagan (Todd) and Kay Thacker (Jay); and his grandchildren, Hanna, Gabrielle, Aries, Kyra, Paris, Jaiden, Rashawn, Anthony and Elijah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
