He was predeceased by: his brother Marvin (late Irene); his sibling-in-law Gib Falkenthal (Norma); and his parents, Harvey Schuett and Selma Schuett. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine "Geri" A. Schuett; his children, Wendy Schnittger (Phil), Carey (Gayle), Ryan (Shelly), Briggs (Jennifer) and Melanie Womble (Todd); and his siblings, Walton (Jeannie) and Anita Kienast (Merlin).
