He was predeceased by: his son William; his parents, Eleanor Grant and Franklin Grant; and his sister Dortha Williams. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, James and Kathleen Stephens (Patrick); his grandchildren, Halle and Katie; and his sister Janet Ebel.

Jim had been suffering with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's Disease.
