He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Lay and Birdie Lay; his son Brian; and his siblings, Eddie Lay, Louise Phillips, Phyllis Shultz and Rachel Halcomb.
He is survived by: his wife Geri; his daughters, Carla Data (Scott) and Stacey Hogenmiller (Bob); his stepson Chris Holder (Tiffany Santacroce); and his sisters, Wilhelmina Gwyn and Lind Measell. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.
