He was predeceased by: his parent George Dewey; his wife Phyllis L. Green Knight; his daughter Denise C. Bell; and his siblings, Joseph Knight, Dewey Knight and Wilma Knight.
He is survived by: his parent Anna Mae Planey Knight; his children, Dwain Knight (Ann) of Flushing, Robert Knight, Bonita DeLongo (Jim), Terri Ollom (Craig) and Alicia Binni (Ed); and his siblings, Harold Knight (Lorna) of Powhatan Point and Mildred Huff of Tampa.
