He is survived by: his wife Mary Imogene "Peach" Bussler Messer; his children, Brian Holbrook (Vonda), Jason Messer (Allyson), Daren Messer (Angela), Beth Ann Richardson (Shawn) and Lindsay Johnson (Scott); and his siblings, Neil Messer (Beth) and Monna Hester. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
