He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Lacer and Estelle Lacer (Robron); and his wife Verna Rose Rickner. He is survived by: his children, Rex A. Lacer of Milan, Victoria Laurents (Kevin O'Quinn) of Port Clinton, Vel Niess (John) of Fairfield, OH and Philip A. Lacer of Port Clinton; and his siblings, Jack Minier (Sally) of Catawba Island, Skip Lacer (Kathy) of Helena, Mike Lacer (Judy) of Oak Harbor and Mary Goetz of Oak Harbor. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
