She was predeceased by: her parents, Hazel Doak and James; and her son Thomas Birthisel. She is survived by: her husband Vernon Hale Birthisel (Tim); her children, Timothy and Susan Birthisel; her grandchildren, Megan Stewart (Jason), Mollie Birthisel, Faren Jimenez (Monique), John Schmalzried (Ashley) and Jessica Pfleghaar (Jake); and her great grandchildren, Raquelle and Josie.
