She was predeceased by: her husband Carl Thornton; her parents, John Speck and Leta Speck Sr. (Murdock); and her son Jeff Thornton. She is survived by: her children, Matt Thornton and Jenny Jones (John); her grandsons, Jason and Zach Jones; her siblings, John "Bud" Speck Jr. and Belva Smith; and her sisters-in-law, Jean Speck and Joyce Early.
