He was predeceased by: his parents, Minnie C. Zentgraf (Knaack) and Arthur C. Zentgraf; his daughters, Anne Gerber and Theresa Fiorello; and his stepsiblings, George Lessick and Rosemarie Johnston.

He is survived by: his former wife Mercedes Elizabeth "Mickey" Konrad; his wife Mercedes E. Zentgraf; his children, Arthur J. Zentgraf (Monique), Susan M. Simon, Cynthia A. Lintz (Dan) and Jacquelyn A. Bovinet; and his stepsister Dorothy Frank. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren.
