She was predeceased by: her parents, Emerson Amos Mays and Lela Graham Mays; her husband Lester V. Jones; and her siblings, James Amos Mays, Jerry Edward Mays and Christine Mays Brown.
She is survived by: her daughter Sherri L. Jones; her godson Bobby Hopkins, Jr. (Teri); her siblings, Jewel Dean Mays Williams and Mildred B. Mays Powell; and her grandchildren, Sydney Hopkins and Bobby Hopkins, III. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
