She was predeceased by: her children, Wasyl and Ihor J.; and her brother Ivan Gel. She is survived by: her spouse Mykola; her children, Bohdan, Scott and Lydia Liszniansky; her grandchildren, Larissa Jonovich (Tim), Nick Kapitanec, Adrianna Moriarty (Kevin), Adam Liszniansky, Hanna Yevtushenko (Daniel) and Michael Kapitanec; and her great grandchildren, Avery, Kay and TJ Jonovich.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions in Kateryna's name to St. Andrew Ukrainian Catholic Church.
