He was predeceased by: his stepson Johnny Clay (Helen); his parents, James Clay and Pauline Clay; and his sister Irene Schumann. He is survived by: his children, Cary Clay (Suzanne) and Krista Kovacs (Derrick); his grandchildren, Stephen Clay, Breanna Koch, Austin Koch, Carver Clay and Sawyer Clay; his stepchildren, Sandy Aden, Kimberly Johnson, Linda Kmiecik (John), Diane Tegerty and Jim Clay (Emily); and his sister Joan Jones.
