He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Stanley Smith and Marjorie Smith (Champion); his wife Carol Smith (Maynard); his sons, Steve Smith of Paris and Neal Smith (Brenda) of Barberton; his siblings, Elaine Smith of Paris, Barbara Haverstock of Marietta, GA, Charlene Moser of Malvern, Amy Smith of Canton and Chad Smith (Nancy) of Marysville; and his grandchildren, Autumn Wilkins (Keith), Ashley Schwartz (Kyle), Amanda, Austin Smith, Sierra Brown (Ty) and Luke Smith. He was also cherished by 3 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Aultman Hospice or Paris Israel Church.
